Our vision is clear to be the 'Premier provider of Athletics in the Capital' we aim to achieve this through working in partnership with UK Athletics, England Athletics and the wider community.
GLL are proud to host a number of world class athletics facilities across London and especially proud to operate Crystal Palace National Sports Centre which is the home to British Athletics. Crystal Palace National Sports Centre has a special place in every athlete's heart and is the stadium where everyone wants to compete, your child too can live the dream of competing at a national stadium.
London Track Stars Junior Athletics
London Track Stars is offering children aged 5-11 years the chance to learn more about Athletics from quality coaches, participate in fun sessions and make new friends!
- Can you 'go the distance' like Paula Radcliffe?

YOU need to attend one of our London Track Stars courses!
Our London Track Stars junior programme is unique to any in London. GLL are working in partnership with UK Athletics, England Athletics and Athletics clubs across London to a pathway for your child to progress into the sport. By working with your child in their early stages of development we will ensure that they receive quality coaching, experience in the right environment and have developed the right skills so they can progress to club athletics in the long term committed to the development of Athletics in London from working with schools to increase participation, supporting clubs to develop, hosting school events to the Aviva Grand Prix through to supporting aspiring athletes through the GLL Sports Foundation.
Our programs currently covers 8 leisure centres across London including:
- Crystal Palace National Sports Centre
- Newham Leisure Centre
- Clissold Leisure Centre
- Waltham Forest Pool and Track
- Sutcliffe Park Athletics Track
- Mile End Park Leisure Centre
- Barnet Copthall Athletics Tack
COURSE DATES : Tuesday January 5th 2012 to Sunday 30th March 2012 (excluding February Half Term and Bank Holidays)
Courses are bookable online via our Sports Courses portal or in the relevant centre normally 6 days prior to the course starting.

Run England Running and Jogging programs
Run in England is a new initiative developed by England Athletics to allow running to be more accessible to all ability levels from complete novices to seasoned runners.
With flexible drop in sessions to fit in with your time and schedule
Friendly knowledgeable coaches there to assist you develop from where ever you are now to where you want to be in the future.
- Ever wanted to start jogging but did not know where to start
- Already a runner but looking to develop your abilities
- Fed up with running on your own?
Then we can help! GLL in Partnership with Run in England and local Athletic networks are rolling out sessions within your local GLL centers.

Athletic Facility Management
Our goal is to deliver the most effective management program for out athletic venues.
1. Our own in-house maintenance and event teams who are specially trained to keep our facilities in top condition as well as delivering some of the biggest Athletic competitions in the UK including the Aviva Grand Prix pictured above.
2. Specialist Sports and Community support staff to help develop the current programs within our sites as well as liaising with local schools and community groups to increase participation within athletics.
GLL Currently manage the following athletics tracks
- Barnet Copthall Stadium - 8 Lane 400m with a 12 Lane Straight UKA Grade A
- Crystal Palace National Sports Centre - 8 Lane 400m International Class venue UKA Grade A IAAF Grade A
- Mile End Park Stadium - 8 Lane 400m UKA Grade A
- Newham Leisure Centre - 8 Lane 400m Grade A with indoor 80m Straights High Jump and Pole Vault
- Sutcliffe Park Athletics Track - 6 Lane 400m 8 Lane Straight UKA Grade A
- Waltham Forest Pool and Track - 8 Lane 400m Grade A
