GLL counts down to Sport Relief with national ‘-a-thon’ Saturday

GLL is hosting a day of ‘marathon-style’ challenges on Saturday 12 March marking one week to go before the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games.

Highlights include a simultaneous Squash-a-thon/Cycle-a-thon/Row-a-thon in Manchester’s Hough End Leisure Centre, an All Day Climb-a-thon in Belfast and a Badminton-a-thon at the Warehouse Sports and Performing Arts Centre in Woolwich.

Hundreds of GLL staff have joined members in a variety of sporting challenges over the last six weeks that will culminate in the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park 18-20 March.

GLL MD Mark Sesnan said: “Best of luck to all our staff and members who are climbing, bouncing, serving and smashing their way to fundraising glory this Saturday.

“As we close in on our target and ahead of the Sport Relief Games, I want to thank all those who are taking part in these fun events while helping make life better in some of the poorest communities in the UK and abroad.”
