Merton Council and GLL are committed to providing high quality, quest accredited sport & leisure facilities to improve the health and physical activity of Merton's community.
Together, we are increasing the range and scope of opportunities for all of sections of our communities to be actively engaged in sport and recreation by providing a range of facilities, activities and programmes.
Merton and GLL have worked together to provide new facilities within the centres and have an agreed ongoing programme of further improvement works. These include the changing rooms at both Morden Park Pools and Canons Leisure Centre and the installation of a new Health Suite at Wimbledon Leisure Centre. GLL will work alongside Merton Council to ensure that the Council's key themes will be met, Healthier Communities, Children and Young People, Older People, Safer and Stronger Communities and Sustainable Communities.
The leisure centres in Wimbledon, Morden and Mitcham offer excellent recreational activity programmes and opportunities for Merton's community to exercise, stay healthy and have fun.
The leisure centres offer some great facilities and, with the developments planned, we are certain that we can play our part in helping you get healthier and fitter whilst making sure you have fun. We place a high priority on promoting inclusion, as well as making our services accessible to the whole community so that everyone has the opportunity to lead a healthy lifestyle and stay physically active.
We are also working together to create employment opportunities for young people in the borough to ensure we build a workforce that encapsulates the aspirations of our future generations.
