Recreation Assistant Apprenticeship

By joining our Apprenticeship scheme you will gain qualifications in:

These qualifications will be gained during your first 5 weeks of working for GLL.

After this, if you have demonstrated that you are hard working and committed, you will then be offered a full time contract (subject to availability) with GLL and commence work as a Recreation Assistant in one of our 70 Leisure centres.

Over the next 15 weeks you will complete the full NVQ Level 2 Leisure Operational Service qualification during your
normal working week, with a one day release to study at London Leisure College (LLC) and pre-arranged work-based assessment schedule.

By working in partnership, LLC and GLL believe they can offer apprentices the best start to their career in Leisure. The Recreation Apprenticeship programme is fully funded by Learning skills Council with training salaries fully funded by GLL.
