Acton Swimming Baths

Centre Due to Change Management from 1 November 2010

The contract with GLL for managing Acton Swimming Baths ends on 31 October 2010. From 1 November 2010 the centre will be managed by the council of Ealing's Sport and Leisure Team, Active Ealing.

Active Ealing will manage the centre until it closes allowing the building of new facilities as part of the wider Acton Town Hall Regeneration Project. The project will include the provision of new swimming pools, a leisure centre, a new library and community space in the town centre. The work is anticipated to start in 2012.

In the mean time the council is aiming to keep the swimming baths and other buildings and services open for as long as possible prior to the construction starting. There will be some urgent improvement works taking place to enable the facilities to remain operational.
