Carbon Footprint  

As an organisation we have significant responsibilities. Each year GLL produces more than 40,000 tonnes of carbon equivalent. To become carbon neutral, we would have to plant 33,000 trees each year, which is the equivalent to an area one and a half the size of the new Wembley Stadium!

There are also commercial reasons why we must act now. Our non-for-profit status means that rising energy costs result in less money being spent on community facilities, staff training and development.

Climate change is not therefore 'somebody else's problem'. It offers a very real threat to our business, the local communities we operate and the future of our planet.

But...if we take positive action now, we can all play a part in reducing the negative effects of climate change.
