GLL shortlisted for Leisure Operator ‘Oscars’
GLL have joined the UK’s leading leisure brands in the finals of the prestigious leisure industry UK Active & Matrix Flame Awards.
GLL, the UK’s largest public leisure provider and leading charitable leisure social enterprise, has been nominated three times in the Leisure Centre of the Year (Streamline) category.
London’s Copper Box Arena, Little Venice Sports Centre and Falls Leisure Centre Belfast will compete with five other leisure centres for the coveted title.
The national awards ceremony will take place at Telford International Centre over 28/29 June.
As part of the judging process GLL’s HR policies, community engagement, marketing techniques and data capture will be evaluated by an independent panel of judges.
An in-depth customer satisfaction survey of up to 6,000 customers will also be carried out at each venue.
Mark Sesnan, GLL Managing Director said: “To be nominated for these Flame awards is a recognition of the highest standards we embrace – wherever we provide leisure services.
“While our social enterprise has come a long way on our journey to becoming the UK’s largest public leisure provider – we have never lost sight of our customers, always striving to put them first. They can share our pride in these nominations.”
