In 2012 Tower Hamlets, along with four other London boroughs, will play host to the world's greatest sporting event, the Olympic Games. Together with GLL we're embracing this opportunity to help get the borough active.

As well as encouraging physical activity and healthy lifestyles we place a high priority on promoting inclusion, ensuring that facilities are accessible to all members of the community.

Mile End Park Leisure Centre is a fantastic facility and demonstrates our commitment and drive to continually develop and improve the borough's leisure offer. Together, the council along with GLL, is working hard to bring you the state-of-the-art leisure facilities that you can enjoy for years to come.

Although we're above the national average when it comes to physical activity it's important that you continue to take advantage of the borough's ever improving leisure facilities to make sure that Tower Hamlets is fighting fit for the future.
