  • 75% of supported athletes are aged under 21 with the programme focussed on supporting the next generation of athletes, SportsAid are a national partner ensuring a co-ordinated award programme and alignment to talent pathways across National Governing Bodies of sport.
  • Over 100 sporting disciplines are supported across Olympic, Paralympic, Deaflympics’ and Special Olympic sports ensuring the programme is providing inclusive support across the performance sport landscape.

Support in Action

The programme is operated across local authority and public sector areas in which GLL operate. Here is an example of how the support is making a direct impact to athletes in Belfast.

Partnership is Key

The programme works in direct partnership with local authority and public sector partners and also vitally a significant amount of sponsors and supporters that make the financial operation of the programme possible.
