Leisure Centres in Lambeth

Lambeth Council works in partnership with leisure operator GLL a charitable social enterprise to provide a wide range of sport and recreation facilities. This partnership is comitted to delivering first class facilities that reach out to all sectors of the local community.

Our flagship Brixton Recreation Centre has benefitted from major refurbishments and now provides some unique facilities with something for everyone. It now contains specialist children's zones featuring shokk fitness equipment, dance mats, interactive games, softplay and 3G football pitch. Other areas contain a state of the art adult gym, climbing wall, squash courts and sports hall. Ferndale Community Sports Centre has also been fully refurbished and now provides some great outdoor facilities for football, netball and tennis.

Lambeth is committed to making participation in healthy activity accessible to everyone and that's why a range of free and low cost swimming initiatives have been introduced for our younger, older and disabled residents.

We will continue to improve our leisure centres in 2011and with the opening of a brand new leisure centre in Clapham later in the year we will provide an expanded range of activities for the community.
