Built on honest and sound business principles, our charitable organisation produces great results - and this is confirmed by our pioneering work to measure and raise social value.
Not only were we the first leisure operator in the UK to be awarded the prestigious Social Enterprise Mark and Big Society Award, we are the current holders of the UK Business Gold Awards 2018 for our social enterprise strategy and our approach to staff development.
In 1993, Greenwich Council needed to find a new way to run its leisure centres because of public spending cuts and together, we came up with a new model. The first of its kind in UK leisure. GLL was born.
