Aayeesha is a qualified solicitor with experience across public and private sectors. At GLL, she leads the organisation’s legal function and provides legal advice and support across the business.

She studied Law at the University of Liverpool before completing her training contract at East Suffolk Council. Following qualification, Aayeesha provided legal support to a range of local authorities and non-profit organisations across the South East, London and Wales, developing particular expertise in commercial contracts, procurement, governance and information law.

Aayeesha joined GLL in 2023 as In-House Lawyer and has since progressed to Head of Legal. She works closely with teams across the organisation to manage legal and commercial risk and navigate complex issues. Her work covers a broad range of legal, regulatory and operational matters, including contracts and procurement, governance, data protection and privacy, property, employment and dispute resolution.

Outside of GLL, Aayeesha is Co-Founder of Women of Valiance, an organisation focused on supporting and empowering women through education, advocacy and community initiatives.

In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, music, art, cooking and seeking out new adventures.
