Dave has 30 years of operational and business development experience in the leisure industry and as Head of Development for GLL plays a broad and varied role.

He is responsible for GLL's tendering activities including team management, bid submissions, partnership working with architects, sub-contractors, and colleagues from other GLL departments - providing innovation and solutions for Local Authority partners, while growing and safeguarding GLL market share. He has particular, longstanding experience in legal and financial discussions and conclusion in this area, expanded to include contract variations for term extensions, incorporation of new facilities and helping GLL's Council partners meet financial challenges. This expertise is deployed both directly with GLL's partners and as a reliable support for GLL senior leadership and operational teams.

Dave is recognised as GLL's expert in the delivery of leisure services through the agency model, having worked with external legal and finance professionals to pioneer, refine and implement the model, now evident industry-wide.He has participated on the project team for more than a dozen major leisure centre building projects, combining an expert leisure operational perspective with a realism based on strong understanding of needs and drivers across project teams.

Dave is a BA(hons) graduate of Birmingham University and a Loughborough University masters graduate.
