Emily McCarthy built her career with GLL across the organisation, gaining valuable experience in a range of support service roles before moving into Digital & Technology more than 13 years ago. Emily also served as a board member for 6 years. Since then, she has progressed through a variety of technology and leadership positions, helping to shape and modernise GLL's digital services, systems, and ways of working.

Now Head of Digital, Emily supports the 5-year D&T strategy, leading initiatives spanning digital transformation, business systems, Microsoft 365, service delivery, and organisational change. A passionate advocate for women in technology, she actively participates in industry conferences, networking groups, and development forums, championing greater diversity and encouraging more women to pursue careers in the sector. Known for her collaborative and pragmatic approach, she is committed to using technology to solve real business challenges, improve colleague and customer experiences, and support GLL's continued success through innovation and continuous improvement.
