GLL’s Nationwide Fitness Class to help raise money for Sport Relief
GLL, the leisure charitable social enterprise that is the UK’s largest provider of public gyms and leisure centres is hosting a nationwide group exercise class to raise money for Sport Relief.
On Thursday 3rd March, 100 Better leisure centres across the seven regions GLL operate in are taking part in a total body conditioning group exercise class from 7pm to 8pm. GLL staff members, family and friends are all welcome to take part.
Up to 10,000 participants are expected to take part in the event, with donations going towards GLL’s £500,000 fundraising total for Sport Relief.
GLL run over 170 leisure centres across the country under its Better brand and encourages communities to take part in more exercise, more often. Exercise classes are a popular activity in the leisure centres it operates for those wanting to get fit and active - whatever their backgrounds, ages or fitness levels.
Deputy Managing Director, Peter Bundey, said:
“GLL exists to get more people active more often. We’re bringing together 100 of our leisure centres across the country to take part in the biggest synchronised group exercise class we’ve organised in our 23 year history.
“Our partnership with Sport Relief is enabling us to reach individuals with a health and fitness offer that suits them – as well as raising money to change life for the better in the UK and in some of the world’s poorest communities”
